St. Louis County Parks are no longer at risk of being closed, for now at least, but the Parks Dept. will be facing some layoffs.  The fight is not over just yet.  SAVE OUR PARKS bumper stickers and yard signs are now available at our office!  Give us a call at 636-451-6090 to let us know you're stopping by.  Our office is located at 135 W. Monroe Ave. in Kirkwood.

On 12/20/11 St. Louis County Council approved the budget for 2012, which allows the regional parks system to remain open.  "All departments took at least a 1 percent cut — and parks took more...  The Parks Department budget takes the biggest hit, with a cut to $22.6 million from $26 million."
